Exlporing Nature through the Absences of Color

I chose to photography nature to capture the details and the patterns in the world around us. The natural world is full of elaborate landscapes and majestic masterpieces. Each one of those beautiful scenes is made up of different textures and patterns. These natural patterns and textures have always fetl mysterious and intriguing to me. When exploring and looking at nature, I rarely stop to look at the small simple parts which make the bigger picture possible. People are always running through life forgetting to stop and look at the simple, small things in life. This work has forced me to slow down and look at nature starting with the closer views that make up the larger pictures in m environment. My decision to use black and white images instead of color was a way to strip the color away, leaving just the simple patterns, designs and textures in nature, and allow them to reveal a miniature world of beautiful designs all around us.
